As someone who long aspired to become a Carmelite nun, I have a special love for the intrepid Saint Teresa, the great reformer of the Carmelite Order in Spain.
But it's the short prayer found in her breviary, thus known as "St. Teresa's Bookmark," that inspired me to post about her today. In these times of turbulent anxiety, we need this gentle reminder of the power of God to sustain and protect us through all danger and adversity. St. Teresa's Bookmark Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you. All things are passing. Patience wins all that it strives for. She who has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices. Saint Teresa of Jesus, pray for us! Here is a link to the Knights of the Holy Eucharist's blog with more quotes and information about this great mystic and Doctor of the Church.
